Greetings everyone! I know it has been awhile since Vasculus has done anything major. I have been quite busy. I have decided to go back to college and finish up my business degree. I sign up for classes next Wednesday!! As far as Vasculus, I have been working on a small game for Android, my first mobile game. Nothing major, but my first nonetheless. I do have a few more ideas in the mobile game front that I hope to work on after I finish the current project. I will update shortly with some more information on it. Talk to you guys soon!

Vasculus Tools

Our latest mobile app, Vasculus Tools, has just been released into the WebOS App Catalog! Vasculus Tools is a suite of commonly used tools such as: tip calculator, coin flip, timer, etc.. Feel free to post any suggestions for other tools to be included in the Forums!

New Look, New Feel

Let me introduce you to our new look and feel of the Vasculus website. Inside, you will see a few major changes. First, we have now combined the mobile domain into our main website. Therefore, you can now read up on our mobile apps from here, as well as being able to post topics about them in our forum.

Second, we have dropped the Community page, and moved the Forums to their own link on the toolbar.

Finally, with the drop of the Community page, we have also begun to shut down our web games sub-domain. As of right now, you can still access it from webgames.vasculus.com; however, in the coming months we will begin closing it down. As much as we have enjoyed participating on the web game front, this division is no longer in our current goals.

Back in October, we began our restructuring, and we have had to cut certain divisions; however, we hope that it is for the best. Thank you for your support.

My Trip To e3 2011!

Let’s discuss my trip to e3 2011…

So here we are, a month later, and I still have not told you guys about my trip to this year’s e3. Well, first, it was amazing! Just as good as I remember last years being! I played lots of games, tested several accessories, and talked to thousands of people (literally!). Unfortunately, there were lots of things I didn’t get to. I did’t get to the Playstation Vita, or the Wii U, due to time. However, I played games like: Sonic Generations, Bastion, the new Toy Soldiers, the new Kirby, the new Assassin’s Creed, and tons of others.

This was our hotel room, which was a junior suite in the Wilshire Grand in downtown LA. Very nice hotel; one I plan on staying at next year!

Gameplay of the new Galaga. This was one of the greatest demos I played. Nothing beats nostalgia.

I am not sure what this one was called, but I saw it as one of the worst games I demoed. Basically, you just walk over things to attach them to your ball. That’s it.

Vasculus Quotes for WebOS

For those of you who use a WebOS device and have been watching the progress of the Vasculus Quotes on Android, I am please to finally announce that Vasculus Quotes is now available on the App Catalog on any 2.0 or newer WebOS device. Currently, it features the ability to cycle through quotes with the use of the random button. However, in an update that is already going through the HP review process, you will be able to share through SMS or email any quote that you find. Also, browsing by author or category will be available in the next few updates, as well as a TouchPad version!

6 Weeks Till e3

What is going on in the month of April…

Wow, can you believe it is already the end of April? How time flies. We have only 6 weeks now until I get on my plane to LA to visit e3 2011! This year, I will try to upload photos and possibly even videos from the convention center to give you guys an inside look of the expo!

So, you guys probably have noticed that I have been extremely busy the last few months. I haven’t even had the chance to even load A Game of Hockey 2, much less work on it since my last post about it. Fortunately, things are starting to slow down around here, so I plan on jumping back into things. I already started with the mobile front; if you haven’t noticed, I updated Vasculus Quotes Mobile (formerly know as Quote Master) several times just this week!

Also, HP recently got in touch with me, wanting to get me to port over Vasculus Quotes and begin working on apps for their mobile os, WebOS. To convince me to do so, they sent me a free unlocked Pre 2. That was really nice of them. I think I will get started on the port right away. For those of you who have never tried WebOS, I highly encourage it. It is a really nice mobile OS, that feels very polished. Cannot wait to get my hands on their TouchPad!

Wow! What a week! We have been updating the Vasculus Quotes like crazy over here. First, we have several new categories you can browse by, as well as a new author! We also moved the random quote to its own page. The Full version has been updated moments ago, and the Lite version will see these changes in the next few updates.

Update to Vasculus Quotes for Android

Both the Full and the Lite version will be getting updates throughout today! For the Full version, we begin to add the ability to browse by author, starting with Confucius! For the Lite version, we added a few more categories that you will be able to browse by. Look for more updates throughout the week. And be sure to check out our web app version at vasculus.com/quotes.

Quote Master for Android update!

Well, after a few months not working on anything in the mobile world, I have returned! First, to continue our shift, Quote Master is being renamed as Vasculus Quotes, as it is now being turned into a mobile app version of our web app. The Vasculus Quotes Lite version has been updated with several new quotes, as well as the new ability to browse by category! Look for several new updates coming over the next few weeks.

What have I done this month:

This month I got a new office. It is a 1100 sq ft warehouse, which I built an office in the back of. I recently bought an older Porsche, and it is currently sitting in the warehouse space of the office. I also have working with one of my clients, as they have been rebuilding their website, which has been consuming most of my time. However, I finally got all the kinks worked out of A Game Of Hockey 2, so that should be going up soon. I will upload pictures of office and Porsche shortly.
